Judy Hamilton, CEO

A BCIT graduate and a technology professional with over 20 years of experience. Judy has held C-Level technology positions at companies such as MSFHR and Aker Solutions and was a driving force behind the international success of technology startups such as TIR Systems and TGI Technologies. Judy’s role on the neartuit team is developing the strategic vision for the product, sales and marketing, and managing all business partner and strategic alliance negotiations.

D'Arcy Smith, CTO

D'Arcy is a Master in Digital Media from the Centre for Digital Media (UBC, SFU, Emily Carr, BCIT) and has over 20 years of hardcore development experience. D’Arcy has also been teaching computer programming for 15 years at BCIT. Besides developing the iOS and Android visitor apps, D’Arcy is responsible for overall technical direction and ensuring that TerraTap is always utilizing proven, cutting-edge solutions designed to be scalable and flexible yet stable and maintainable.

Nahum Zarate, Director, UX/UI

Nahum is Master in Digital Media from the Centre for Digital Media (UBC, SFU, Emily Carr, BCIT) and has been awarded two scholarships by The National Council of Science and Technology of México. Nahum has been programming for over 10 years and is responsible for the UX, UI, and front-end development of the entire neartuit application ecosystem, including the CMS.

Gwen Schwartz, Marketing Manager

A Master in Digital Media from the Centre for Digital Media (UBC, SFU, Emily Carr, BCIT), and also a Bachelor in Art History, Gwen has worked in a number of different fields including PR, legal recruitment, and mobile tech. Gwen also comes with 5 years of experience in freelance marketing design. Gwen’s role on the neartuit team covers all aspects of marketing, including design, copywriting, and planning. Gwen is also in charge of all website building and management.

Vincy Kwong, Project Manager

A Master in Digital Media from the Centre of Digital Media (UBC, SFU, Emily Carr, BCIT) and an Honors BA in Digital Media, Communications & Technoculture, Vincy has worked on various projects in storytelling, visual design, marketing, film, and games for the past 5 years. Aside from overall project management to make sure the team delivers the product on time and on budget, Vincy is also responsible for orchestrating user testing, facilitating client relations, investigating funding options, and negotiating with suppliers.

Steve Fossen, Director, R&D

A data and system integrity and scaling professional for over 10 years and has held senior positions at Fortinet and SilverTip. Steve’s primary role on the neartuit team is designing our data architecture and creating strategies for data mining and predictive analytics. Steve also ensures that our data is always optimized for peak performance and reliability while ensuring that our customer information is safe and secure.
